The UNSW School of Arts and Social Science has recently open another scholarship for application!

UNSW Feb 2019 intake scholarships are now open for application! Unless stated UAC, other scholarships needs to be applied separately through the https://www.scholarships.unsw.edu.au/ website.

Below are some of the scholarships which international students who are applying for Arts and Social Sciences, Business School, Science courses are eligible to apply.

  • Be an International student commencing any UNSW Arts & Social Sciences undergraduate single degree or an approved dual degree.

Each applicant will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate:

  • Academic Merit (ATAR or equivalent)
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in an area of Arts and Social Sciences
  • Personal qualities and evidence of academic potential

Arts & Social Sciences Faculty Scholarships and Awards

These Scholarships and Awards are automatically offered by UNSW based on Australian Year 12 results for students applying for admission via UAC commencing Term 1, 2019.

 

1 x Alfred & Dorothy May Anderson Scholarship UGCA1042 (A$ 6,000)

Be commencing full-time undergraduate study in the Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Education in the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences

2 x Norman Hardy Award UGCA1023 (A$ 5,000)

Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or dual degree) at the UNSW Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences

2 x STGA Undergraduate Award in Education UGCA1293 (A$ 5,000)

Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or dual degree) in a School of Education program in the UNSW Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences

3 x Undergraduate Award in Education UGCA1368 (A$ 5,000)

Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or dual degree) in a School of Education program in the UNSW Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences

2 x Undergraduate Social Work Award UGCA1369 (A$ 5,000)

Be commencing full-time undergraduate study (single or dual degree)in a Social Work program in the UNSW Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences

Up to 20 Undergraduate offers

Up to 10 Postgraduate offers

  • Be an International Student
  • An undergraduate or masters articulation pathway qualification from an partner institution (the 5 polytechnics in Singapore); or
  • Completed the UNSW Foundation Studies Commerce or Commerce Actuarial stream prior to commencing study at UNSW; and
  • Achieved academic excellence at the pathway partner institution or in the UNSW Foundation Studies Stream; and
  • Must have received an offer of admission and be commencing in any UNSW undergraduate (single/dual) or postgraduate (Master) coursework degree program offered by UNSW Business School, excluding any program offered by AGSM in Term 1, 2019.
  • Each applicant will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate:
  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)

  • Be an International Student
  • For any UNSW undergraduate (single/dual) or postgraduate (Master) coursework degree program offered by UNSW Business School, excluding those offered by AGSM.
  • Must have received an offer of admission* and be commencing an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program offered by UNSW Business School.
  • Undergraduate applicants must have completed an assessable Senior Secondary School qualification immediately prior to commencing study at UNSW and not have undertaken prior tertiary study.
  • Not be in receipt of the UNSW Business School International Pathways Award (PUCA1023)
  • Must be commencing full-time studies in Term 1, 2019.
  • Each applicant will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate:
  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)

Mathematics & Statistics Entry Awards & Scholarships UGCA1731

A$ 5,000 per annum

  • School of Mathematics & Statistics Advanced Mathematics Scholarship (Math major only)
  • Have completed the Higher School Certificate (or equivalent qualification) in the year prior to commencing study at UNSW, or two (2) years prior to commencing study provided no tertiary study was undertaken in this period.
  • Be undertaking full-time undergraduate study in a Bachelor of Advanced Science or Bachelor of Science (Advanced Mathematics) including dual-award degrees with a major in the School of Mathematics & Statistics
  • School of Mathematics & Statistics, Teachers Scholarship (via UAC)
    • Must have completed the NSW HSC (or interstate equivalent) or IB either:
      • in the year prior to commencing study at UNSW, OR
      • in the previous two years prior to commencing at UNSW, provided no tertiary study was undertaken during this period; and
    • Must be undertaking a Science/Education degree with a declared major in MathematicsClick here for advice on how to declare your major.

  • iScience & Decisions Scholarship (via UAC)
    • Have completed the NSW HSC (or interstate equivalent) or IB either:
      • in the year prior to commencng study at UNSW, OR
      • in the previous two years prior to commencing at UNSW, provided no tertiary study was undertaken during this period; and
    • Be commencing full-time undergraduate study in a Bachelor of Data Science & Decisions - Quantitative Data Science plan (MATHE13959)
